Things to note:

Due to the nature of my freelance work, I always book my flights last minute, which means they cost a lot more than if bought a few months in advance

The 3 week G Adventures Tour included travel, accommodation and the majority of meals
-
Accommodation was for the week in Cape Town before the tour and the few days in Livingstone after the tour

I don't know the amount of cash I spent on things like additional food and drinks, but everything was very cheap in all the countries I visited, we're talking $1 - $2 a beer.
