Highlights include:

​

  • Active trip with hiking, cycling (mostly downhill), kayaking and a zip line included

  • Also plenty of chill time with jeep safaris, beach time in Mirissa and whale and dolphin watching

  • Kayak down the Gin River on a half day paddle through Sri Lanka’s ever-changing landscape. Float past forests, sandbanks and plantations while keeping an eye out for wildlife along the way.

  • Come face with one of Sri Lanka’s most storied sites as you hike to the ancient carved rock fortress of UNESCO World Heritage site – Sigiriya, which rises dramatically from the surrounding plains.

  • Hike through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Knuckles Mountain Range and encounter Sri Lanka's lush scenery and amazing biodiversity. Visit the observation point ‘Mini World’s End’ and see the sheer drop into the Thelgamuwa Valley and its forest floor below.

  • Cycle a mostly downhill route through the green heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country in ‘the Golden Valley of Ceylon’

  • Spotting elephants in their natural habitat during a jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park

ARE THESE TOURS FOR ME?

  • It doesn't matter whether you're an experienced traveller or this is your first time away

  • All we're looking for a people who are easy going, up for an adventure, and most importantly a good laugh and a good time! 

  • If you've seen the Morocco trip, you'll know what the vibe is going to be. We don't take ourselves too seriously, everyone just wants to have the most fun as possible.

  • A lot of the trips are very physically active and require a reasonable level of fitness

  • If you're high maintence, looking for perfection and pure luxury, then look elsewhere! These trips aren't budget backpacking by any means, we're not staying in dorms, eating cheap food. Accommodation is great, restaurants are hand-picked by the local team. But remember this is an adventure! Be ready for it.

  • ​Accommodation on this trips is twin-share, solo travellers will share a room with other travellers of the same gender (or pay an additional single room supplement). These trips are a great opportunity to get to know other like-minded people, so embrace it while you can!

HOW DO I BOOK?

  • Fill out the booking form once the tours are on sale.

  • You'll receive an automatic e-mail saying we've received your request - this isn't a confirmation that you're on the tour

  • Within 72 hours we'll then reply as to whether you're on the tour

  • Then Intrepid will arrange the deposit payment off you to secure your position (deposit amount will vary depending on the cost of the tour)
